Paula Julie Abdul is an American pop singer, actress, record producer, choreographer, dancer and television personality. Paula Abdul is the daughter of Lorraine and Harry Abdul. She won a Grammy for "Best Music Video - Short Form" for "Opposites Attract" and twice won the "Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography." In 2002, Abdul appeared as one of three judges for the reality television music competition show American Idol.

Abdul was married to Emilio Estevez from April 29, 1992 to May 1994. She later married sportswear designer Brad Beckerman in 1996. They divorced in 1998. In 2007, Abdul begun dating J.T.Torregiani and broke up with him in June 2008.
